Ruby Wing - Strawberry Shortcake

I friend recently gifted me my first bottle of Ruby Wing colour changing polish. The colour is called Strawberry Shortcake, and it's a gold holographic fine glitter that smells deliciously of strawberries.  Indoors it is a slightly rose gold tone with different coloured gold and bronze glitters, but take it into the sun and it turns a dark raspberry jelly base (arrrggghhh, rasssspbeeerrrry jellyyyy *drools*)

To show off the colour change the best I used some lightening shaped nail vinyls.  The base colour is OPI I Get a Kick out of Gold. Here it is under our UV rated shade cloth outside.

Now in the sun...

Firstly, don't you just love the dramatic colour change? Secondly, how seriously awesome are nail vinyls?  I did three coats of the glitter colour changing polish before pulling the vinyls off on the last wet coat. I can't believe how perfect the lines still ended up being.

  2. So it is possible to put on several coats of polish on nail vinyls? Great news! I thought I had to choose only one-coaters for my design :)
I love the "in-the-sun" version, this red and gold combo is great!

  5. Wow! What a dramatic change! Love it! And it's good to know I can use more than 1 coat over the vinyls :-)

  6. What a perfect polish! I have a shirt with colour-changing flowers I got at a Del Sol store. I want this polish to wear with it :D
