I can feel the challenge getting away from me already. To keep on track I need to paint my nails at least every two days.  This week I've managed to paint them twice.  Things aren't looking good for the second half of the challenge.  Maybe I need to spend my entire Sunday painting designs on just for fingers!

Anyway, today's design is another cheat one. I sued this gorgeous polish from Emilty do Molly, which is a light purple base with a strong gold shimmer. I then applied some lavender bunch water decals.

It's day  already and I'm managing to keep up.  Yay me.

Today's look is about as basic as you can get, they are holographic gold star stickers. The single ones are single stickers and the full nail is a transparent nail wrap.  I think they look pretty great, and they were such thin stickers they they stuck well and with top coat you couldn't see there were any edges.

This whole mani definitely has a super hero feel to it, either Captain Marvel, or Wonder Woman or something don't you think.

Ignore that I'm holding a yellow bottle here ok, these are definitely green nails!

Love how these turned out, with the combo of the radial gradient and then the rather crazy black stamping. I was trying to think how to describe the stamping. It kind of has a biohazard feel to it, or like some strange virus growing under a microscope. Either way, I like it.

What's this, another design with water decals, why yes it is! Cause that means it was a quicker design to pull together.  But I did make a little bit of effort with some sponged yellow with green tips at the cuticle edge, but a little bit of brown marking to make my banana nails that little bit more realistic.

Also, I need to find some more good yellow polishes. This one called Honolulu from Ulta3 is right on it's last legs. I'm right down to the very dregs at the bottom of the bottle.  I haven't shopped for Ulta3 polishes in years, so I don't even know if this one is still available.

Well these ended up a lot less orange than I originally planned. In fact I'm not quite sure how the cuticle end of the gradient ended up so black, but whatever.

For my day 2 look I have some orange flames.  I started with a sparkly orange to black gradient and then painted some orange flames over the tips in various shades of orange.

And so the challenge begins.

In previous years, I've had goals for the 31 Day Challenge, this like do the art on all 10 nails, and include a photo of both hands.  This year, there are no rules.  My goal is to simple finish.  My track record of blogging at the moment is about four posts a month, so pulling off 31 back to back posts is challenge enough.  

Be prepared now, I plan to take as may shortcuts as I possibility can. If that means using water decals, or nail wraps that meet the challenge prompt, then that's what I'm doing. If it means using nail art that I did more than a year ago which has been sitting in my draft folder unedited, then that's what I'm doing. 

I am giving myself full permission to use whatever I need on my nails to get through the challenge.

For the first prompt, red, I used some cherry water decals, paired up with Ozotic Pro 621. I did this mani last year in preparation of doing the challenge in 2018, in fact my first 7 manis were prepared last year, so I'm off to a flying start.

Can we also just take a moment to look at Ozotic Pro 621 again. I know that there are Picture Polish red shades that are meant to be the replacement for this, but I just don't think the Picture Polish ones have quite the same umph with the old scattered holo?
