ILNP - That other girl

Over the last few months, I've not done as much nail art because of the difficulties with my foot (which is making me particulary grumpy at the moment, because the orthopedic specialist said I'm still not allowed to walk on it for 6 more weeks!). As such I've got a few posts that are just nail swatches of polishes I've just wore as they are.

The first one is I Love Nail Polish brand That Other Girl. It's a strong coppery rose gold metallic polish with micro holo glitters. It's incredibly sparkly and so pretty. I just loved wearing this one on it's own. I wore this with a peel off base coat, and I'm sure glad I did, because micro glitter like this are so horrible to remove with polish remover.

I Love Nail Polish - ILNP - Fame

Not so long ago I was able to join in on an Aussie group buy to get some of the Spring ILNP collection. I only grabbed a few that really sung to me, and this is one of the - FAME

Fame is a platinum gold with metallic flakes and a linear holo flame. Needless to say, this is a 100% me shade. It's cool toned gold, with holo and some serious bling factor. I love it.

You know that time when your nail polish passion crosses that uncomfortable line that separates your private life and your work life. This mani crossed that line! I was already wearing FAME and had a large website release the following day. I didn't want to stay up late doing my nails, so I just stamped the name of the website on my nails. Totally geeky, but they were a hit at work!

Holo leadlighting with ILNP Mega (S) and Dance Legend Aquarelle

Back when I wore ILNP Mega (S), I decided to fancy it up a bit. I ended up deciding on stamping and lead lighting.

I *think* the stamping plate is is either a Messy Mansion LeadLighting plate or maybe a Lily Anna. Sorry, I did these two weeks ago and I can't remember.

Anyway, I just stamped using black Mundo de Unas polish and then used a dotting tool to colour in the design using Dance Legend Aquarelle top coats. This is such an easy technique and the results are so beautiful. I especially love the holo base shining through on this.

I think my thumb nail was my favourite of them all, so it's gets it own macro. I love how the pink blends into the purple ad into the blue. I did good with this one.

I Love Nail Polish ILNP Mega (S)

How many linear silver holographic polishes is enough for one gal? Two? Seven? 13? Well as far as I'm concerned, if they are all different, then you can just keep going and going. I'm at 18 linear silver holos now, and there are still some out there I would like to get my hands on.

My latest addition is ILNP Mega (S). I was able to get in on a recent Aussie group buy during the pre-sale, and this is one of five ILNP shades I picked up.

ILNP make the claim that Mega (S) is the brightest, most intense pure holographic nail polish out there. I have a comparison photo below of all my silver holos, and while I thought this looked totally stunning on my nails at the time, when you compare it to other silver holos, there is no way this is the most intense pure holo out there.

First up, this is three coats of INLP Mega (S) on it's own.

I was swatches some other shades the other night and decided to try a singer layer of Mega (S) layered over a dark colour. WOW! This is gorgeous! This is a dark brown polish, and I love that you can still see the warm shade beneath. You can actually tell it's a brown and not a black polish. Lots of rainbow flame. Me likey!

Now here is my holo comparison. With 18 silver linear holo shades it's just too many to do them in a finger swatch. I think you will find this comparison interesting. A friend of mine recently acquired a bottle of Chanel Holographic, so I'm hoping I might be able to sneak a swatch stick out of her bottle to be able to include in my silver holo comparisons going forward.

Above said friend clearly has an issue with silver holos like I do, as she is the one I first saw with her amazing silver holo Guess handbag. After seeing hers, I had to buy one immediately! You can't tell from this photo how totally amazing this silver holo bag is, but it is incredible! Love rocking my matchy matchy nails and bag.

I Love Nail Polish - Electric Carnival

It's time for another drool worthly multichrome flakie polish from I Love Nail Polish Brand.

This one is Electric Carnival and it shifts from a magenta pink to a metallic golden yellow to green. This is Electric Carnival worn on it's own. This is sponged on for maximum wow factor and would be equivelant to about 4-5 regular coats, except without all the thickness of the clear base (because it's all soaked up into the sponge).

This one is up there with my favourite colour combos for the multichrome flakies, it's also one of the most obvious colour shifters too.

I Love Nail Polish - Cold Fusion

Here is another ILNP Multichrome flakie. I'm slowly working my way through wearing them all. This one is called Cold Fusion, and the name makes me a little nostalgic. I work with a whole bunch of front end web developers, and there is one guy there that has been working there as long as me. One of the first coding languages we wrote some cool applications for our intranet were written in a language called Cold Fusion. This was some good 10+ years ago - arrhhh those good old .cfm pages.

Anyway, Cold Fusion shifts from a light greenish blue, through bright cobalt blue to purple. This sponged on with no base colour and would be about the same opacity as using four -five coats, except without all the thickness of the base.

These next photos were taken only a few minutes after I took the ones above, standing in a different location in my garden. You can see how the light hitting the nail at a different angle shows up the colours in a totally different way. It also looks so much more pigmented and saturated.

ILNP Multichrome Flakie - Supernova

I have a whole bunch of photos from various manis I've worn recently, but I get worn out with the thought of having to write something up to go with it. So bear with me whilst I'm a bit lazy with my commentary, and hopefully just enjoy the photos instead.

This one is I Love Nail Polish Supernova. This one is similar to the colour shift that was in Ozotic 505 or Sally Hansen Turquoise Opal or the glitters in Ozotic Elytra 528. That is, it shifts from a bright turquoise green through pink to purple. This is sponged on using a makeup sponge and would be equivalent to about four coats of Supernova, minus all the thickness of the clear polish base.

Once I'm finished with my swatches of each of the ILNP Multichrome flakies, I'll put together a blog post with all the swatches together to help you choose which ones to get. So far I haven't been disappointed with any of them, although I think I've been choosing the more shifty ones.
