A week or so back it was the last day of summer for us down under, and for me that meant I had to pull out some bright colours and do something nice and summery.

I used my I Scream Nail polishes to create a watermarble after seeing how well they seemed to work for other nail artists on Instagram. 

My base polish for the middle finger was JOSS Oh So Natural and the colours from I Scream Nails are Blue Heaven, Bubblegum Bang, Grape Soda, Sunny Boy and Juicy Juicy.  You can see swatches of all the shade on my previous I Scream Nails post.

I recently received the adorable six polish set of I Scream Nails polishes.  I Scream Nails is a nail art salon located in Melbourne and Sydney who specialise in creative freehand nail art for their clients.  They don't stamp or use stickers and they come up with some amazing designs.  You should check out their instagram @iscreamnails for lots of inspiration.

If course I have to talk about the bottles.  I have seen this shape before, but no brand could possibly have a more perfect name than I Scream Nails for this bottle shape.  My three year old daughter thought the bottles were so fun, and proceeded to turn one upside down and to lick the side of the bottle!

As the I scream nails ladies create amazing free and nail art, I challenged myself to put my stampers down and just use brushes.  I was inspired by a recent design they posted to instragram and created this look using all six of their polishes.  

These close up shots really emphasize the flaws in my line work and shows what a hard design this is to make look neat and professional.  I really should have photographed my right hand for you too, because that would have made you laugh!  The lucky client who visited I Scream Nails had beautifully neat and matching nails - I sure didn't!  Despite what these look like up close, they actually looked pretty awesome in real life. Someone at work even asked if I was already doing Easter manis!

Blue Heaven - A pastel blue creme. Great formula that applied streak fee and had full coverage at two coats.  This is two coats with Seche Vite top coat.

Bubblegum Bang - delightfully rich hot neon pink creme.  Nicely pigmented with a smooth formula.  This was two coats with Seche Vite top coat.

Grape Soda - a mauve creme again with a good consistent formula.  This was two coats with Seche Vite top coat.

Mint Madness - This one surprised me a bit.  Unlike the rest of the collection that is all cremes, this has a strong frosty shimmer.  This does mean you see brush strokes a little, but it's really only noticeable in zoomed in swatch photos and not in real life. The formula was still great and easy to apply.  This is two coats with Seche Vite top coat.

Sunny Boy - Ah the name of this one brings back childhood memories for me of those frozen triangular summer treats.  This was difficult to photograph. These photos make it look like a juicy orange creme, but they don't show the true neon appearance of this polish - it's a true neon because it glows under UV light.  This is two coats with Seche Vite.

Juicy Juicy - A pale yellow creme. I think this will become my go to pastel yellow creme polish (just like OPI I can't Cope-acabana is my go to bright yellow).  It has a great formula for a yellow, which usually are streaky.  This is two coats with Seche Vite top coat.
