Negative space dotticure for Digital Dozen does Christmas in July

It's been while since I've done a negative space design.  My nails here almost look invisible.  I did two coats of two different sheer OPI shades, I think they were Glints of Glinda and one of the ones from the ballet collection.

Then I just did some basic dots using two shades of green, red and some gold.  Super quick effort to do a Christmas in July look.

Wrapped presents for Digital Dozen does Christmas in July

Here is my Day 3 look for the prompt, Wrapped Presents. I really was trying to think of ideas that were still be bit Christmassy, but not obviously christmassy that made everyone wonder what was going on with my nails.

I loved the metallic blue on blue stamping here. It was subtle but still noticeable. I used some striping tape for the ribbons, and I wish I was able to use the same striping tape to make the bows, but that was never going to work, so I just freehand painted those on with a gold polish that was a very similar colour to the gold tape.

I have to say, I wish my Christmas presents under the tree looked this fancy.  We generally dont put a huge amount of effort into the wrapped, cause the kids just rip straight into them, perhaps as they get older and the present get down to more single expensive gifts rather than toys, then we might have fancy wrapped presents.

Wintry snow falling trees for Digital Dozen Christmas in July

Did a miss a day, whoospie, I don't even know where that day went! I still have 5 mani's for the theme though, so it will just take a bit longer to get them posted.

For Day 2 of the Christmas in July prompt I went with a wintry gradient, stamped with bare looking trees and some white glitter to represent snow.  I can hardly imagine what a white Christmas would be like, it's so foreign to me. Cold weather on the brink of snow is just what it feels like outside a the moment, so these nails felt totally appropriate without anyone asking me about wearing actual Christmas nail art.

Pastel candy stripes for Digital Dozen Christmas in July

It must be time for another Digital Dozen nail art week, because I sure haven't been posting here any other time. My bad. I have a few draft manis that are so super pretty that I've worn recently I really need to edit them and put them up.

This week's theme for nail art with the Digital Dozen is Christmas in July.  Tell me, do you celebrate a Christmas in July event?  There are certainly a few events going on around town, and also at the snowy mountains. I guess people around here like to try out what it would be like to have a Christmas event when it's really cold and possibly snowing.  It will also be fun for my friends in the northern hemisphere to think about what it must be like to celebrate Christmas at the beach or when it's scorching hot outside.

For today's mani I went with some non traditional shades of Christmas colours, for a pastel candy striped look. Normally I'd do this with red and rich green, but this time I've gone with pastel pink and mint.  Just looking at these I reckon a candy like this would be delicious, I can just imagine how minty they would be.
