FNUG Futuristica stamped

I loved the previous mani I did with FNUG holo with stamping so much, that I grabbed out another one.  This time I grabbed Futuristica, which is the pale blue toned holo.  I stamped over it using Cult Nails Time Traveler, which is a highly pigmented navy blue creme.

The stamping image is from the same plate as my previous design - JR-8, which I purchased from My Online Shop on Etsy.

I really pleased with my stamping placement for this mani *pats self on back* and love the final look.

FNUG Psychedelic with psychedelic stamping

Hey everyone. I'm going to be very light on with words over the next two weeks as I'm away on vacation.  We left yesterday for the drive up from Canberra to the Gold Coast in Queensland (about a 13 hour drive).  We are currently spending the night in Coffs Harbour. We went to Dorrigo National Park today and I just have to say, Australia is such a beautiful place.  Also, you guys should have seen all the koala crossings along the freeway.  They have great big poles on each side and a wire crossing that joins them together.  I'd love to know if the koalas actually use those crossings, but there were heaps of them, so I assumed they must.  If I see some more I'll try take a photo.

Quickly to these nails I wore about a week ago.  After pulling out all my holos again for the comparison last week, I ended up putting on FNUG Psychedelic again, but this time stamping it with a psychedelic design.  The stamping image is from a MJ plate I think (but of course I can't check cause I'm not at home). I can update this post in a few weeks with the details of the plate.

I hope you enjoy this post, cause it will probably be a few days before I'm back.

FNUG Holographics & Urban Look.

Who doesn't love a bit of in your face holo?  And when it comes to in your face holo, one of the absolute front runners is FNUG.  Last year, this Danish based nail polish company came out with a set of three holographic polishes together with an aqua base.  The three shades are fairly classic holo shades, silver, pale blue and pale green and they all have a crazy strong linear rainbow flare.

The three holographic shades apply best when worn over aqua base. They are also fantastic when worn over a gel base.  I've worn these over Gelicious Optional base coat and the finish is amazing because the base colour is so smooth.  The other thing I love about these FNUG holographic polishes, particularly compared to the Layla holos is that these are much more opaque.  Because of that, these are excellent for stamping.!

Pshychedelic - silver linear holo.

Fantastica - pastel green linear holo

Futuristica - light blue linear holo.

Urban Look - a soft blue leaning, light grey creme.  FNUG also have an excellent range of on trend polishes in other finishes, particularly a lot of cremes.  This one was a lovely colour and a smooth, easy to apply formula.

Here is a dottie manicure I created with a combination of all the FNUG holographic shades.  The holo shades really complimented Urban Look, although I could work on my dot placement I think.

The FNUG aqua base coat, not actually shown in these photos, is perfect for wearing under holographic polishes like these. It's also perfect under the new China Glaze holographic collection I recently purchased.

A large range of FNUG polishes are available internationally from Llarowe.

Also, a reminder that today is the last day to get your entries in for my Guess that Polish Giveaway.  Tomorrow I will reveal the names of anyone that got the highest score as well as announce the prize winners and of course, reveal the names of all the polishes.

Polishes provided for review.

FNUG Fantastica and a GIVEAWAY!

I was recently contacted by the very generous Annette from Shoppe Eclecticco in Singapore, asking if I would like to try a few of the polishes she stocked in her store.  To tell you the truth, I didn't actually know about her store, so when I checked it out I was super impressed with all the different brands that she carries.

She carries lots of international brands, such as Layla, Barry M, HITS, Jade, Nfu Oh, Man Glaze and FNUG as well a big selection of Indie, or as they are called on their site 'Artisanal' polishes.  I love sites like this because you can get a great variety of polishes from different brands, and not have to pay separate shipping costs from various different suppliers.

One of the polishes that I was sent to try was FNUG Fantastica. Anyone that is a holo whore *hands up* is going to know about the amazingness that are the FNUG holographic polishes.

Fantastica is a very pale green linear holographic.  It has excellent coverage and can nearly be worn just at one coat.  For these photos I have two coats with no top coat.   I'll let the pictures do the talking on this one!

I did a comparison with my other pale green linear holographic polishes, Nfu Oh 66 and Layla Jade Groove.  My bottle of Nfu Oh 66 is several years old and from the 'original' batch which was the most holographic.  The base colour of all these polishes is almost identical, but the linear effect is slightly different.  Each of these shows two coats with no top coat.

Now for the giveaway part.  As I said at the top of my post, the very generous Annette from Shoppe Eclecticco is sponsoring three prizes in this giveaway, as such we are asking you to follow Shoppe Eclecticco on Facebook to enter.  You can also get additional entries for following Shoppe Eclecticco on Twitter, Instagram or signing up to their newsletter.

You don't have to be a follower of More Nail Polish to enter the giveaway, but I will be giving away a bottle of Picture Polish Kryptonite to one lucky follower, so starting following (if you don't already) if you want to win that prize.

It is open internationally and closes in two weeks time (11 November 2012)

There are three prizes available from Shoppe Eclecticco for this giveaway.
  • One for my Australia/New Zealand readers,
  • One for my Asian readers and
  • One for my readers elsewhere in the world.
Following the drawing of the first three winners, a final draw will be held to determine the winner of the bottle of Picture Polish Kryptonite.

Thanks to Annette from Shoppe Eclecticco for providing these prizes.
