This weeks theme in the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas challenge is Glitter topper or flakie and my individual prompt was "over a neutral base". This was not what I was planning at all, it sort of just evolved.
I did actually start with a neutral base, truly I did. I was even planning to let it show through, but then I got carried away with my ILNP multichrome flakies and kept adding colour upon colour, and all of a sudden it was totally opaque. I ended up layering a single coat of the following polishes. Electric Carnival, Brilliance, Code Fusion, Rapture and Success.
But then I decided to take it to another level and I applied a glitter gradient tip using Crows Toes Maxxed Out. To say this was shiny and blinged out is an understatement. Not sure that I really nailed my prompt this week!
