If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen a little action shot of my spirit nails supporting my husbands baseball team playing in the playoffs on Friday night. Unfortunately they lost that game and headed off to Sydney to finish to best of three series up there last night and today.  Amazingly they won last last, so it all comes down to today's game to see which team heads off to the Championship series in Perth next weekend.

As I had my blinged out orange and gold nails on (Ulta3 Atomic OJ and Lacquistry Amazeballz), I thought I would grab a fancy new prop to hold in my fingers.  The players championship rings finally arrived this week from when they won the league last year.  Check out the size of this ring!  They are fabulous rings the with team name, player surname, playing number and team win-loss record on the sides.

They also received their Championship rings from when they won the 2013 Asia series in Taiwan in November. Aren't they enormous! Not the sort of things that you would wear around town, but they look lovely in a little display case.

UPDATE - They won today as well! Unbelievable to win back to back games whist on the road.  They are headed to the Championship series again - against Perth again!

Last, but certainly not least is Picture Polish Solar Flare. If you've been following along tonight you would know that Solar Flare is the scattered holo version of the discontinued Ozotic Mish Mash 531.

Solar Flare appears a more rich colour to me than the linear holo version, it think that's because the silver holo pigment in the linear version softens the colour because of it's silver tone.  Whereas with these polishes, the larger holo flakes are more scattered and they don't effect the vibrancy of the colour.  This one also seems a little more pigmented than the three other cooler toned polishes.

This is two coats over black.

As you can see, they all can be worn without undies for a completely different, much softer look.  They are more pastel and spring like, and layering three coats really creates depth with the holo sparkle.

Picture Polish Gravity is a light blue to purple to pink multichrome with scattered holo shards.  This is two thin coats over black. Its linear holo Ozotic cousin is the discontinued Mish Mash 533.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned the formula on these yet.  They are all smooth and easy to apply, the formula isn't too thick or thin and it's easy to put it on cleanly without needing too much cleanup.  This is two thin coats over black, again it can be built to opacity at three coats on it's own, but the finished look is a pastel and soft colour (which I actually really love). Check the next post to see a skittle swatch of all the new shades on their own.

Picture Polish Illusionist combines the multichrome effects of the old Ozotic 505 with the signature Picture Polish holo flakes.  It's discontinued Ozotic cousin is Mish Mash 532.

Illusionist shifts from turquoise green to purple to pink.  This polish is designed as a layering polish, and I did two coats over black for these photos. It can be built up and worn without a dark base and opacity is achieved after three coats, but the finished look is completely different to when it is layered over black.  Look out for the last post tonight where I have taken a photo of all the new polishes swatched as a skittle without a black base.  

I'm actually liking the options available to me because these are layering polishes.  It means I can get completely different looks out of the one polish by layering it over a different colour, or wearing it on it's own.

Do you remember the discontinued Ozotic Mish Mash collection, which was the first nail polish brand to combine a multichrome and holo into one polish?  The Ozotic brand is no more, but it seems we have nothing to fear, because Picture Polish is going to fill the Ozotic shoes very nicely.

The new limited edition collection from Picture Polish recreates the multichrome colours from the Ozotic Mish Mash polishes, but this time using the Picture Polish signature scattered holo shards that have become so popular in Picture Polish shades such as Cosmos, Kryptonite, Shocked and Ocean to mention just a few.

I'm quite excited to share with you all tonight five blog posts, each one dedicated to a new limited edition Picture Polish shade.  I was originally going to put them all into one blog post, but I took so many photos of each polish that it would have meant the one post would have been too epically huge. I'm going to schedule each post about 5 minutes apart so you have time to look at each one before the next polish.

Picture Polish Aurora is a mix of both multichrome pigment and glitter. Does anyone remember when I layered Ozotic Elytra 528 over Ozotic 505 way back in June 2011!  It was one of my favourite ever layering combinations.  Aurora creates that same layering effect all in one bottle.  One thing I was concerned about when I looked at the bottle was the mix of pigment and glitter, and how if the balance of the mix isn't just right, then the polish can look rather lumpy where the pigment goes over the glitter.  I'm was so pleased to see, that once on the nail, the balance of glitter to pigment was perfect!

The colour shift of both the shimmer and the glitter goes from turquoise green to purple to pink.  This polish is designed as a layering polish, and I did two coats over black for these photos. I love that because the polish has both shimmer and glitter it reflects light in two different ways, shimmery and sparkly. Lets take a look at some pictures of this gorgeous polish. No trick photography here, these photos are taken outdoors in natural light, under shade cloth.
