China Glaze - Want My Bawdy chevron with 2NITE

Here is a design I did using China Glaze - Want My Bawdy from the recent Bohemian collection.  I taped off a chevron design and painted it with China Glaze 2NITE from the OMG collection and added a silver edge using Layla Metal Chrome.

Here are a couple of photos of Want My Bawdy on it's own.  Every single review I have read about this polish has said that its the only polish in the Bohemian collection that they don't see any duochrome in at all.  I have to say I completely disagree.  I definitely can see a duochrome effect.  I've captured a little of it in the below photos where you can see the bright cobolt blue base and a purple glow near the cuticle edge.

Does anyone see this duochrome in their bottle?  I'm sure any other people that get a perfect score on this colour test will be able to see it too.

  4. A great test and yes it's definitely there. Isn't this totally what our nail polish obsession is about - seeing the minutest differences in color (among a multitude of other things :) )

  7. Where do you manage to get your glorious colours of the various Polishes/Lacquers from China Glaze - Mod - OPI & 100's more at reasonable prices online (disability pensioner)??? I love nail polish & want to try so many of them but have stiff opposition from my partner - typical male who cannot see the point of having diff colours & finishes - so if you can share a place to purchase a little cheaper w' lots to choose from I'd be so v. grateful & there will be an argument avoided if I can afford them! Thanks in anticipation :o)
*I'm always marvelling at how you manage to come up w' such great ideas to do w' a mere bottle of nail polish & imagination & Pin you reg, Google+ you, follow you & take your feeds & blogs, you are so Creative & Talented when it come to nails - only wish I could do a third of it :o(
    Thanks

  8. I love this color combo and design! so pretty! But, did you really have to make me want the OMG collection even more than I already do?!? I am hoping that the holo collection that China Glaze comes out with in the Spring kills that lemming :)

  9. I love this combination. I can see the colour shift here (slightly) but IRL it isn't very noticeable. I think I've been spoilt by Ozotic.

  10. I can see it in your pic! I couldn't in the store, and passed it up in my trying-to-restrain-polish-buying-impulse. More and more though, I think I'm gonna have to go back for the two I passed on. I have such a weakness for duochromes!

  11. I can see the duo even though I got a 43 lol

  12. Great color combs - and I only see a really faint and tiny hint of the purple at the base of your nail on Bawdy...I also keep hearing no duo in that one at all. I played with it at the store but it did not come home with me.....none in the Bohemian collection came home with me - I was worried about brush strokes - too frosty as well...but Bawdy is not looking frosty on any photos I see - but looks like other blues I have.

  13. I can see the duochrome in your pictures and I scored 8 on the test. My eyes were going funny trying to concentrate on the colours lol! This design is really cool! Reminds me of a super hero suit for some reason.

  15. Wow, my eyes hurt after doing that test! haha.. I got an 11, but I can still see the duochrome effect you are talking about :p Lovely mani including a lot of sought-after finishes ;) When I first saw the picture, I thought you used some striping tape or something, but no it's just the awesome finish of the Layla Mirror polishes.. I need to get my hands on one of those ;)
