I had another huge day at work today, very stressful and very busy.  Yesterday my section upgraded our intranet operating system and migrated all content from one site to another, which was the culmination of about 4 months of work.  Today everyone was back at work and it was the real test as to whether everything was ok or not.  My team was awesome fixing issues straight away, not that there were too many issues. But some things out of our control went wrong, which stressed me out pretty bad and the executives were very reactive about getting us to double and triple check everything.  Anyway, I made it through the day, and hopefully things can only get better from here. I think I might have an early night tonight.

So today I'll leave you with this little gem of a mani.  The combo of neon and this stamping image from on of the Moyou 80's plate definitely gave this mani a retro vibe.  In fact one of my work colleagues checked out this mani when we had a meeting together, and her comment was "hmm, they are very eighties", with a smile and a nod.  I was very impressed that they looked 80's to someone who wasn't a nail polish nutter!

I used Pipedream polish Day of Light, 110 degrees and Happy Hour for the gradient. Mundo de Unas black polish for the stamping and Swarovski crystals on my ring finger over black.

Hey everyone.  Over the last few weeks, every night when I've gone to paint my nails Ive been watching Breaking Bad from the very beginning.  I had never watched it before, and it's been so great being able to sit down and watch and episode almost every night when I paint my nails.  I'm just about to head off to paint my nails tonight and watch the very last episode.  It's been a fun ride.

For today's mani I created a circular gradient using Kleancolor metallic polishes.  I used Kleancolor metallic gold and mango and coffee addict.  The little geckos are stamped using Mundo de Unas black and Moyou Explorer 06 plate.  I used the image as is, facing different directions on all my nails except the middle finger.  On the middle finger I cleaned up all the extra dots and squiggles on the stamper before squishing it onto my nails, this created just two clean little black geckos.

What do you think? I love how this one turned out.  The colours I used are very warm and earthy and seem to match the gecko and outback feel of the mani.

I was looking for something quick to put onto my nails earlier this week, knowing that my work colleagues would wonder what was wrong with me if I turned up to work with just a single nail polish on and no nail art.  This is what I ended up with.

I used a base of Pretty Serious The Pink One and then put a layer of Penelope Luz Pink Work.  Pink World has a gorgeous mix of bright pink and holo pink glitters in a clear base.  I finished with stamping from Moyou Suki plate 06 with Mundo de Unas black.

One of my favourite designs on the Moyou Time Traveller plates are the space invaders images on Back to the 80'x 01 and 04 plates.  But there was one more thing that that I needed before I could create the mani I wanted to do.  I needed awesome stamping polishes that show bright colours over a black base.

Enter Mundo de Unas stamping polishes from Mexico. I had read so many fantastic reviews about the polishes on the Adventures in Stamping Facebook group, that I eventually caved in and purchased a bunch of bottles.  The shipping price from Mexico was pretty hefty, but the polishes were individually wrapped and packaged well and they arrive in about 3 weeks. They also took about 3 weeks to ship out the package because they have been swamped with orders.

The one thing I had heard about the Mundo de Unas polishes is that they smelled like enamel hobby paint.  Before ordering the polishes I even checked out our local model hobby shops to see what enamel paints they had, but it turns out that they don't use enamel paint much any more, it's all waterbased.  Hence another reason I ended up purchasing some Mundo de Unas polishes to try.

A couple of things about the Mundo de Unas polishes.  

Bottom line for me, the Mundo de Unas stamping polishes rock! I can see me saving up to place another order sometime soon.

Anyway, now that I had some awesome polishes that stamped over black, here is the space invaders mani I did.  Can you believe I have red, yellow and green showing up over black. Awesome! I stamped with Mundo de Unas colours Reddish, Yellow, Green and Holland blue.
