Picture Polish - Minty

Today I have Picture Polish Minty, a collaboration shade by Belgium blogger La Paillette Frondeuse.
At this time of year, and with a name like Minty, there was no way I wasn't going to create some candy cane striped nail art.  Mmmm delicious minty candy canes - I have to say, I haven't actually eaten one in years, until earlier this week my son insisted I bit one of the mini ones he had received from one of his friends in Kindergarten.  Let me tell you, that candy cane didn't taste like the ones I remember.  It was chalky and not minty at all.  I lot the classic minty ones.

Anyway, back to the nails.  This was a super quick and easy look to create.  I just did some free hand stripes using red and white polishes on my middle, ring and thumb. It doesn't look so perfect up close in these macros, but in real life the effect is rather striking.

Of course I have some swatches of Minty on it's own.  This is perhaps a shade that not everyone will gush over, but I love that Nathalie from La Paillette Frondeuse stayed true to herself and created a polish that she would love.

I actually liked it way more than I thought I would.  The base is a beautiful soft mint green (who would have guessed it with a name like minty right?)  It also has a nice mix of matte red and white hexes at just the right ratio of get a gentle sprinkling of glitter on each finger.  It was opaque in two coats and dried quite smooth.  This is two coats with Seche Vite top coat.

Picture Polish Minty is available from Picture Polish. International ladies can purchase through one of the many Network stockists.

Polish provided for consideration.
