31DC2015 - Stripes

I started the 31DC with several days head start, which meant I had a bit of breathing room.  But those days are sneaking past and I'm not very far in front any more.  I even cheated last night and only painted my left hand and kept my right hand wearing the previous design still!

The stripes prompt has been one of my favourites, and I've been very happy with both my previous stripe manis, although they have also been some of the slowest designs for me to create, because they have used striping tape, and I'm incredibly slow using striping tape.

I quite like how these turned out.  I used three of the Essie Mirror Metallics polishes, Penny Talk, Good as Gold and No place like chrome, I also used some white to break up the metallic a bit.  It's a very simple design where I just painted the lined using striping tape over base coat to leave the negative space design. I like how every nail is different both in placement and with line widths.

  2. These are so pretty!!! I did everything in my power to avoid striping tape because I cannot stand it! The perfectionist in me hates when I cannot align the stripes just right on each nail!

  3. Very pretty! I love negative space stripes, and this mix of metallics is so pretty! Don't feel bad, I'm a little behind, too! :)

  4. I love your manicure! That looks so pretty and feminine. You have a lot of patience and skill with the striping tape. I can't ever get it lined up straight with only one hand.
