31DC2015 - Galaxy - Pastel Galaxy

I love galaxy prompt, cause it doesn't matter how many times you have done a galaxy mani, it will always turn out differently.

Looking back at previous galaxy designs I've done, I realised that I've never done a pastel galaxy, so I figured now was the right time.

I started with a white base and only used three polishes to create the galaxy effect, Picture Polish Wisteria and Fairy Floss and Cult nails Time Traveler (mixed with white).  I applied a very thin, dry brushy stroke of Dance Legend Steel Panther to get a sparkly sheen.

How is everyone else fairing with the Challenge.  I'm finding the daily blogging tiring, and often wonder if should drop the blog and just stick with Instagram. It's so quick and easy to post there.  But then I wouldn't have this ongoing written history.

  1. I've always found something for the previous prompts, but I hate the inspired by-stuff. Guess I'll maybe just drop out. I blog the designs for the challenge just once a week... daily blogging is just to time consuming, especially since I share the designs on Instagram anyways. I've found that my readers like it that way, as their dashboards aren't spammed by me (I usually blog twice a week - now imagine I'd start blogging every day - naah thanks...)

I really like the pastel galaxy! The glitter stars are awesome. <3

  2. It's a lot of work editing photos for the blog, but I think it's also a challenge to blog everyday! I love your mani, I did my first galaxie nails ever thanks to this challenge and I'm proud of it !

  3. I'm deliberately trying to make posting faster this year specifically to make daily blogging easier, and it does help, but it's a marathon effort!

  6. Great combo! The holo is rad.

I think it's nice to have both outlets, you can add more pix on the blog, but it's definitely time-consuming! Especially since you have to crop, watermark, juggle everything else you already had to do - and everything else that crops up. Sometimes I wish you could just cross post to/from Instagram like you can do with other platforms.

  7. Love these! I love your blog and check it daily! I tried to blog but didn't have the determination I guess. Thank you for all your hard work!

  8. Very nice paste galaxies!
For me posting to IG feels a little wasteful almost, I still have to do all the steps with photos and editing so not much time saved there. And I only get one small image to try and convey all the awesomeness that is each manicure :)

  11. This is beautiful! I don't post or even do a mani a day. I work long shifts so I tend to do several manis on one of my days off and so I bombard Instagram with a lot and then there is a dry spell. I do a lot of catch up but it's less stressful than trying to do one every day. I also find myself limited by available light for decent photos so posts tend to be feast or famine for me. I enjoy your blog and reading the script and story behind a mani and Instagram can't convey that. Thanks for taking the time to do it!
