31DC2017 - Metallic - Metal sheeting

I'm excited to finally create this design that I saw Maria from @loaobotan did back in 2015 for the Metallic prompt of the 31 Day Challenge.

For this mani I lay down an aqua base to try give myself a very smooth surface for the metallic silver polish. On top of the aqua base I used some gel polish to create the metal texture. To finish it off I put a quick thin coat of the Born Pretty Mirror polish.

For full disclosure, these photos are without top coat, cause I know that the mirror polish does dull when you apply top coat.  After I took my photos I applied top coat to ensure the look lasted a least a full day (even if it was not as shiny!).

These were fun to wear, again a tactile finish that I found myself playing with all day.

  2. Yes! This is a really challenge-worthy look taking things to the next level. I love it! (And feel slightly ashamed about my meh-mani for the metallic prompt...)
