Picture Polish - Holiday

Picture Polish Holiday is a special edition numbered polish released in December 2014 just in time for the, well, holiday's.  I got bottle #0999 out of 1000 - cool hey!.

Holiday is designed to be a layering polish and contains both iridescent multicoloured flakies and a scattered holo finish.

There are already lots of gorgeous swatch of this polish as a topper out there on the interwebs so I thought I would wear this polish in a completely different way - all on it's own.

Picture Polish have also started selling Liquid Palisade, the purple masking fluid designed especially for nail artists.  This was the first mani I tried out Liquid Palisade on, and I will have a review of it in the coming days.

To start with, I masked up all my fingers.

I then applied Picture Polish holiday using a sponge, using the same technique I showed the other day for applying the multichrome flakies.

The resultant look was so soft and ethereal.  Do you know what it reminds me of?  My Three year old daughter is currently obsessed with all things Princess.  I recently downloaded the old cartoon movies of Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and Cinderella.  This polish worn alone makes me think of Cinderella's glass slippers.  Either that, or the sparkling rainbow fairy wings that Tinkerbell and Periwinkle have when they are near each other (me thinks I've had a lot of kids movie time over the holidays!)

Indoors and in the shade, you can really see all the multicoloured flakies.

In the sun, the scattered holo comes out to shine., but you can still see the glowing iridescence behind the rainbow.

Picture Polish Holiday Special Edition numbered polishes are still available from Picture Polish. International ladies may be able purchase through one of the many Network stockists if they have this in stock.

  1. W-O-W !!! I have seen this polish swatched elsewhere and, while I thought it was a pretty layering polish, I wasn't really tempted by it, since I have so many toppers. But this!!! O.M.G. - well, it looks like I need to bustle around and see if I can get it! Thank you (I think....) for the gorgeous manicure of this polish, and the photos!

  2. Oh my gosh - I have this on as an accent nail over another polish at the moment but seeing these pictures made me want to sponge it everywhere - SO gorgeous!
