Contrary Polish - Bright Night, Santorini, Aruba & Anna Maria

I have so much pleasure in showing you four more Contrary Polishes today.  Last post I showed you a selection of Fall related colours, this time I have chosen the range of blue and green shades.  I'm have such a huge crush on blue and green polishes, a disproportionate amount of my stash is blues and greens.

I commented last time about the flawless formula on the polishes, and these were just the same.  Let's get to the swatches.

Bright Night - A dark blue jelly with aqua and silver shimmer  Two coats was good, but three coats was better. The shimmer was amazing in the sun, but still perfectly visible in the shade too.

These next three polishes form the Islands collection.  I love the inspiration for this collection, which was three of Carrie's favourtie vacations with her husband.

Santorini -  Yes, I see exactly what Carrie was doing with this one. Santorini, with it's stark white buildings with the bright royal blue roofs and features.  Perfect. Royal blue crelly with blue shimmer. Two coats with Seche Vite top coat.

Aruba - Teal blue with aqua shimmer.  Inspired from the turquoise waters of Aruba.

Anna Maria - murky blueish green crelly with a complex gold shimmer.

Formula = amazing
Shimmers = amazing
Dry time = good
Colours and saturation = amazing
Contrary Polish = EPIC WIN.

Contrary Polishes are available from Llarowe in the USA or Shoppe-Eclecticco in Singapore.  Minis are also available through the Contrary Polish blog.  I seriously have no hesitation in recommending these polishes if you like the look of them.

These polishes were provided for review.

  3. I ordered one colour, Purple Smoke, and without even trying it ordered three more - Anna Maria, Bonfire and Hayride. I really love the colours, and I like that it's not the same glitter topper that you tend to see with indie polishes. I'd really love to own all of them, they are so gorgeous. And it's good to hear that the formula is good and the shimmer doesn't disappear once it's on.

  4. I bought bonfire recently. Have had this polish on for 5 days now and no chipping. I did touch up the tips a tiny bit but even tip wear seemed to happen less with this polish than the sephora opi, and zoya's I normally wear.very happy with contrary polish. Might get Anna Maria next!

  6. I completely relate to when you said, "a disproportionate amount of my stash is blues and greens." As much as I love the blues and greens, I've discovered I like the 'inbetweens' even more. I want all teals and all aquas. So, of course, Aruba and Anna Maria are major lemmings now.
