Ulta3 Winter Collection 2014 swatches and review

Recently, Australian cosmetics brand Ulta3 announced they had reached 100 shades of nail polish.  My first reaction was 'say what!'  You just need to look at my Ulta3 colour guide to see that there are more than 100 shades. My colour guide has 173 Ulta3 shades, and I've been really slack in updating it recently, so when I include the other shades that I've blogged about but not yet added to that list, then my total is 205 (with no duplicate shades). Then I have another handful of really old Ulta3s that I haven't even blogged about plus the non-chip top coat, so I think my grand total is 212! Arrgggghhh!  I promise I will update the colour guide soon(ish), it's just boring updating the code.

Anyway, back to the 100 colours business.  So if Ulta3 now only have 100 colours in their range, then which ones are they?  I'm glad you asked.  At the bottom of this post is a full list of the current 100 polishes.  Therefore if it's not in this list the polish has been discontinued and you won't find it by rummaging through any Ulta3 bins at your local chemist.

Now lets take a look at the latest 10 polishes.

Cloud nine - a yellow toned fleshy nude creme. Coverage is ok at two coats, and would be great under nail art at two coats, but if wearing it on it's own I've wear three.  This is two coats with seche vite top coat.

Hearts desire - a red leaning gorgeous dark pink creme. Great pigmentation, two thin coats or one thick coat would do you.  This is two coats with seche vite top coat.

It's a bit grey - a very dark and edgy grey creme.  Two coats with Seche Vite.

Moody blue - Gorgeous and richly pigmented navy blue creme.  Ensure you wear a good base coat with this one. This is two coats with top coat. These shots in the sun show off the blue beautifully, but indoors it's nearly black.

On the green -  a dark pastel green creme that doesn't make me have red lobster hands.  This one is a little sheerer, but you can just get away with two coats if you do them a little thicker.  This is two coats with Seche Vite top coat.

Pop art - a blue leaning dark pink creme. This is two coats with Seche Vite top coat.

Purple Primrose - a medium toned, blue leaning pink with a soft silver shimmer.  Ulta3 always seem to do one polish different is a collection, and here in a collection of cremes is a shimmer.  This is two coats with Seche Vite top coat.

Rising sun - a dark coral creme. Good pigmentation and nice formula This is two coats with Seche Vite top coat.

Untold secret - a very pale pastel tinted pink.  Formula was similar to Untold Secret.  Good at two coats if you put someone over it like glitter or stamping, but if worn on it's own I'd go for three coats.  This is two coats with Seche Vite top coat.

Wild heart - I'm not sure how to describe this colour.  Maybe a dark mushroom pink? It's definitely got that dusty feel to it and it also leans a little brown.  Quite a unique colour and great for winter. This is two coats with Seche Vite top coat.
