Rainbow Stars and Stripes

I created this rainbow stars and stripes mani and realised two days later that I could almost pass this off as a rainbow 4th of July mani!

To create this design I used the same stamping technique I showed yesterday for the stars.  Once again I used Mundo de Unas stamping polishes.  I don't think I'll ever use any other polish to stamp with again!

For the stripes, I free hand painted them using mainly Picture Polish shades (frank-n-furter, totes, swagger and chillax) plus the awesome OPI I can't cope-a-cabana (the must have polish from the Brazil collection).  I was really happy with how these vertical stripes came out.  They were so much better than the horizontal stripes I did earlier this week.  I think it's because of the strong C curve on my nails that I can't paint neat horizontal stripes very well.

I have a mix of indoor photos taken at my desk at work, and some photos taken on the very dreary wet morning outside.  I wanted to show the indoor shots to show how glossy the mani was, because the outdoor shots really look like I was wearing a matte top coat  as there was no light reflection at all.

Happy Independence Day to all my US readers.
