Merry Christmas 2012

Merry Christmas everyone. Christmas day is over, the kids have played all day with their new toys, we all ate way too much turkey and I personally must have eaten about 3/4 of a pavlova!

I can't believe it's been a whole year since I did my last holly leaves mani like this one.  I used the beautiful OPI Golden Eye for my base (which I received a mini of for my birthday earlier this month - I think I will need a full size of this gold!). I hand painted the holly using a green franken and China Glaze Emerald Sparkle.  The holly is created with red rhinestones.

I can't believe how long my nails are at the moment. I think I must file them down soon, although it's kinda fun having nails this long when I'm not working.  I got this extra length using the Gelicious hybrid gel nails.  I've not got gel on for this mani, but it certainly has helped my nails grow out without breakages.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

  3. I adore Goldeneye - and initially did not order it...but I think it was Mary at Swatch and Learn that talked me into 'needing it.' Have to admit I don't wear gold polish often. Most give a cheap look like a bad holiday ornament gold (or the gold is just too much for all fingers)...GE is really in a class of it's own. I have put a little Zoya Ziv under it to give me something to get Goldeneye on faster without needing 3 coats. I think my NY is going to bring me into trying Gelicious Hybred - I can grow my nails out without too much trouble esp if I give them rest days between polishes. I do OK with OPI Nail Envy and my Orly fav base coat Nail Armor..but like most folks, I get periods when they are not all even. I tend to like mine shorter, but I get used to them the lenght you have shown here.

Great, easy mani here - if I had the little nail jewles...I need to get together an order for BornPretty and another etailer as well here soon..space major limited for storage so I have to choose wisely and make sure I don't stash them so far away that I don't have easy access to the supplies.

Thinking maybe this look with Logan for the green would be good. Have a good Christmas day and if you attack the stores tomorrow...good luck..I am going to a movie I think - hordes and my canes don't do well together!
