Matte pastel colour block

I feel like I haven't done any nail art for a while and I was inspired by some nails on Instagram by @missjayrabbit. There are so many creative ladies on IG and I've screen shot a whole bunch of designs I want to have a go at.

For my version, I started with white nails then taped of the sections with striping tape.  The colours I used were Picture Polish Tango, Wisteria and Mellow Yellow, OPI No Room for the Blues and Ulta3 Sea Breeze Swirl.  Finished with a coat of Essie Matte about you.  It took about 45 minutes to do both hands, so this isn't a quick one to do when your in a rush!

  5. I love this and have something similar on but with neons and black. 45 mins is QUICK though - I did mine over the course of three days and at 45 mins each time I reckon!

I was wondering what your secret is to avoid smearing when you apply top coat? I waited ages and ages for mine to dry, and used Seche as I hear it's the best one to avoid smearing...but it still smeared and streaked! It's not obvious but it bugged me. Yours look perfect!

    1. I think the difference is white lines rather than black. Black always smears for me too, but white doesn't, or if it does you can't see it.
