Rainbow gradient with magnetic topcoat

A few weeks ago I reviewed the Dance Legend Magnetic Top coat, which turns any polish into a magnetic one.  I really loved the effect and commented at the time I would like to use it with some nail art. So that's exactly what I did.

I created a rainbow gradient from dark orange to yellow, green and blue and then I applied the magnetic top coat.  The topcoat did mute the colour of the rainbow a bit and made it slightly greyed out, but I was quite happy with the overall look.

I also upgraded my camera a week or two ago.  For all this time I've just been using my regular old compact tough camera, the Olympus 1030. I really loved it, but it was starting to be temperamental. So I upgraded to a newer version, the Olympus Stylus TG-830.  It's a great little camera and has a good super macro setting that works well for my nail photos. It's also awesome for just my family shots and I especially love that it's tough and can be used underwater for up to 2 meters.  It has lots of special effect modes which I played around with, this one was called sparkle.

  3. Oh, what a cool idea! I like the effect it makes over the rainbow. And congrats on the new camera. I think I need to upgrade my own as well. Preferably to one with sparkly effects! x
