SuperChic Lacquer - The Gaslighted Collection

We had a long weekend this past weekend here in Canberra - and that meant I had a whole extra day to get things done around the house, and of course it meant I had time to swatch some pretties that had recently arrived.  One set of goodies that arrived was the Spring/Summer collection from SuperChic Lacquer.

The Gaslighted collection features five creme based polishes with strong metallic shimmers.

Coming Unblued - a magical Chinderella blue chrome shimmer cream packed with blue-green iridescent goodness with chrome violet interference color shift. Such a stunning shade of blue and the underlying chrome shimmer really reflects the light.  This is two coats.

Figmint of My Reality - a perfectly stunning minty shade featuring an amazing blue chrome overcast with strong shimmering fuchsia-violet color shifting iridescence .This is a very pale pastel green, than leans quite blue because of the blue chrome shimmer.  This is two coats (sorry, no sun for this swatch)

Fuchsure Drive Me Insane - an insanely gorgeous blended fuchsia shade adorned with slight reflections of blue chrome and brilliant flashes of shimmering blue-green color shifting iridescence.  I love the contrasting blue shimmer to the vibrant pink base. This is two coats.

Lost My Melon - a gorgeous melon-coral shade packing a punch of strong shimmering fuchsia-violet color shifting iridescence with a melon chrome cast. A lovely soft coral that was very flattering to my skin tone.  A perfect spring colour (and makes me feel like hanging on to summer even though Autumn is here) This is two coats.

Shrinking Violet - a sheer violet with radiant flashes of blue chrome adorned with blue-green color shifting iridescence.  A hard choice between this one and Coming Unblued for my favourite in the collection. Love the strong shimmer mixed with the soft lilac. This is two coats.

The formula on all these was excellent, smooth and easy to apply and opaque at two coats.  Drying time was good also. It's so lovely to have a whole collection of strong and striking shimmers from an indie brand, especially when you are going through periods of glitter overload. I also have to mention to cool shaped bottles.  The base is square so they stack nicely in a Helmer, but one corner of the top is chopped off making for an interesting and unique appearance.

Polishes provided for review.

  3. I'm SO glad I found your awesome review and swatches! I just ordered this entire collection from a destash and was hoping they wouldn't be too sheer. Sounds like I'm in luck!
